Samuel E. "Sam" Hill of Geneva, Illinois passed away on July 5, 2022, at age 86.

Served as alderman representing Geneva's First Ward for 12 years and as commissioner of the Geneva Park District for eight years, helping secure state funding to acquire and develop 131 acres of Peck Farm into a 385-acre park with a baseball field named in his honor.

Established a Memory Café with his wife to provide support for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and their partners after his own diagnosis.

Active member of Fox Valley Presbyterian Church for over 40 years, sang in the church choir, and participated in mission trips to Guatemala and Mississippi.

Survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn, two children, three grandchildren, and his sister Sue McClenachan.
