Illinois Senate memorializes Marjorie Elizabeth "Margie" Caisley, who passed away on July 4, 2022 in Sacramento, California.

Caisley earned bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from the University of Illinois and worked for California state agencies including the Department of Water Resources and Department of Fish & Wildlife, providing technical expertise for restoration projects.

She was known as a skilled pie baker, talented handbell player, avid sailor, hiker, and active member of St. John's Lutheran Church who excelled at building community.

Survived by her wife Nicole Oehmke, former wife Amanda Bohl, five children (Bennett, Adelaide, Octavia, Margaret, and Henry), parents, and brother Tom with his family.

Senate extends condolences to Caisley's family and friends, and directs presentation of a suitable copy of this resolution to the family as an expression of sympathy.
