William Floyd Gloe of Moline passed away on July 23, 2022, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and loved ones.

Gloe was born June 6, 1934, in Davenport, Iowa, graduated from Davenport High School in 1952, and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1957.

He worked as a self-employed carpenter specializing in trim work and married Beverly Shepherd on November 15, 1958, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rock Island.

Gloe is survived by three children (Karen Coats, Gregg Gloe, and Stephanie Gloe), three grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

A suitable copy of this resolution shall be presented to the Gloe family as an expression of the Senate's deepest sympathy.
