Harold Lyle Harmon of Milan died on July 25, 2022, at age 89.

Harmon was born October 12, 1932, in Shevlin, Minnesota; served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-1954, including one year stationed in French Morocco; and worked as an HVAC technician for Central Electric in Davenport, Iowa.

He married Colleen Ellis on April 3, 1953, at Sheppard Air Force Base and together they renovated and expanded their home in Milan known as the "Harmon Homestead."

Harmon is survived by his wife of 69 years, three living children (Letha Driskell and Anthony "Tony" Harmon), eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and his brother Kenton Harmon.

The Illinois Senate extends condolences to Harmon's family and directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to them.
