Dr. David M. Dillman of Danville passed away on August 18, 2022, at age 71 after graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1972 and Indiana University School of Medicine in 1976.

Founded Dillman Eye Care in Danville in the 1980s and became known as a pioneer in cataract surgery before retiring in 2017.

Preceded in death by his wife Cheryl Vergin (married October 25, 1980; died November 8, 2021), his parents, and his sister Dawnelle Dillman.

Survived by daughters Kayla and Meryl Dillman, grandchildren Cecelia and June Kaiser, sister Debbie Dillman, and brother Dean Dillman.

Illinois Senate extends condolences to Dr. Dillman's family and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family.
