John "Jack" Appleman of Moline passed away on September 16, 2022, at age 85.

Served in the United States Marine Corps starting in 1955 and worked for United Parcel Service (UPS) for 39 years, achieving the longest safe driving record in Iowa with 38 consecutive years.

Active member of Sacred Heart Catholic community for over 30 years as an usher and eucharistic minister.

Survived by his wife of 64 years Julie, three children, 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to the Appleman family.
