Worked as a high school teacher in Chicago Public Schools and retired from the Industrial Relations Department at John Deere Harvester

Member of Vietnam Veterans of America Post 299; survived by his wife of 45 years, Roswitha Bump, and extended family

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to the family as an expression of sympathy from the Illinois Senate
