Harold Dean Davidson Sr. of Moline passed away on October 14, 2022; he was born April 18, 1944 in Oakman, Alabama to Gus and Vennie (Larson) Davidson.

Served as a lieutenant police officer in Moline from 1968 to 1996, then worked as a sheriff's deputy for Rock Island County; also served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Graduated from Rock Island High School in 1962 and attended Black Hawk College and St. Ambrose University; married Carole Paul in Moline on June 12, 1969.

Survived by his wife Carole, sons H. Dean Davidson Jr. and Scott (Heidi) Davidson, daughter Cherity (Paul) Machnick, three grandchildren, sister Sue Waite, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Illinois Senate extends sincere condolences to the family and friends of Harold Davidson and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family.
