Russell Wayne Prunty Sr. of Moline passed away on October 6, 2022, and the Illinois Senate expresses its condolences to his family and loved ones.

Born October 5, 1947, to Fred W. and Virginia (Marlow) Prunty in Macomb; served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Worked 34 years as a painter for International Harvester and 13 years as a truck driver; married Patsy L. Surber on June 7, 1969.

Known for his sense of humor and love of family; enjoyed vacationing in Florida, relaxing on his porch, and playing Yahtzee with his wife.

Survived by his wife, son Russ Prunty, grandson Joey Prunty, and niece Ashley Prunty; preceded in death by his parents and sister Gail.
