Richard G. Moritz Sr. of Milan passed away on October 10, 2022, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and loved ones.

Born February 13, 1939, to George and Opal Moritz; served in the U.S. Air Force and married Sharon M. Reding on May 12, 1961 (she died October 1, 2007); later married Linda Twitty on April 4, 2008.

Worked as an inspector and repairman at Farmall for many years and retired from Navistar in 1993; enjoyed motorcycles, snowmobiles, hot rods, and NASCAR.

Survived by his wife Linda, children Richard and Randy, five grandchildren (Joseph, Kaylie, Seth, Zach, Michael), one great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

A suitable copy of the resolution shall be presented to the Moritz family as an expression of the Senate's deepest sympathy.
