Honors Linda Lou Lyman-Weiman, Ph.D., who passed away on August 10, 2022, formerly of Peoria and at the time residing in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Recognizes her educational accomplishments including a Bachelor of Arts in English from Northwestern University (1963), Master of Arts in Teaching from Harvard University (1964), and a doctoral degree in Administration, Curriculum, and Instruction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (1990).

Acknowledges her career teaching high school English in Boston and Omaha, and as a professor at Bradley University and Illinois State University in Normal from 1999 until her retirement as professor emerita on December 31, 2017.

Notes her scholarly contributions including authorship and co-authorship of five academic books and a published book of poetry.

Extends condolences to her surviving family including her husband Dave Weiman, three children, six grandchildren, and sister.
