Donald Lee "Demo" DeMarse Jr. of Smithton passed away on August 5, 2022, at age 67.

Founded Demo's Pizza Cellar in a basement on 17th Street and later opened Demo's Sports Bar on North Belt West.

Was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Belleville and enjoyed golfing, fishing, coaching softball and basketball, and attending his grandsons' baseball games.

Survived by daughters Christine Todd and Donyelle Theis, four grandchildren, siblings Gerry DeMarse, Liz Messbarger, and Cynthia Biggs, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and loved ones and directs a copy of the resolution be presented to his family.
