Eilene Taylor passed away on July 29, 2022, at age 92, born November 15, 1929, to Clyde and Minnie Taylor.

Taught in the Bethalto School District for 29 years and held a bachelor's degree in Education and master's degree in Counseling.

Volunteered at the Oasis Women's Center for 35 years and received the Governor's Volunteer Service Award for her work with abused women.

Actively supported the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) through marching, rallying, and petitioning.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to her surviving family including her twin sister Darlene Sackett, four children, eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
