Illinois Senate mourns the death of David William Mehuys of Moline, who passed away on October 20, 2022.

David Mehuys was born in Germany on October 30, 1950, to William and Ruth Harms Mehuys; he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and married Rebecca Foreman in Missouri in 2003.

He worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for many years and enjoyed music and time in the mountains.

David Mehuys is survived by his wife, three children (Adam, Michael, and Omega), two stepchildren (Chad and Emily), one granddaughter, two step-grandchildren, and two siblings (Christopher and John).

A suitable copy of this resolution will be presented to the Mehuys family as an expression of the Senate's deepest sympathy.
