Larry Chappelle Thomas passed away on September 2, 2022; he was born December 19, 1951, in Chicago to Faith Verdine McMichael and Alfred Thomas.

Worked in construction as a bricklayer and tuck pointer starting at age 17, retiring in 2013, then served on the Security Force at Monument of Faith Evangelistic Church until 2018.

Active member of Monument of Faith Evangelistic Church for over 20 years, singing in the choir and Praise Team; joined Church On Fire International in October 2021.

Performed singing at various churches, weddings, and venues with his wife, including the "Star Spangled Banner" for Dr. Mildred C. Harris at God First Ministries Heavenly Breakfast in May 2019.

Illinois Senate mourns his passing and extends condolences to his surviving family members, including his wife Marlita, daughter Shanna, stepdaughters, stepsons, grandchildren, and extended family.
