Memorializes Kimberly Joyce Payton, who died on April 7, 2021, born January 2, 1981 in Chicago to Ophelia Payton and Ray McElroy Sr.

Payton graduated from Jim Hill High School in Jackson, Mississippi in 2000, attended Jackson State University, and received a degree from Everest College in Chicago.

Worked as a Constant Observer at Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center and as a Service Provider with Comfort Care and Gratia; was a member of Greater Morning View Missionary Baptist Church and a Stand for Children Fellow.

Survived by her mother Ophelia McGee, grandmother Dorthy Lindsey, five children, one grandson, and numerous siblings, aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

Illinois Senate extends sincere condolences to Payton's family, friends, and loved ones, with a suitable copy of the resolution to be presented to her family.
