Jimmie "Jim" Otto Speckman of Port Byron passed away on November 22, 2022.

Born April 18, 1934 in Moline to Harry and Gertrude Speckman; graduated from Port Byron High School in 1952 and served in the U.S. Army.

Worked in the Experimental Department at John Deere Harvester and was a longtime member of St. John's Catholic Church, serving as an Eucharistic Minister and usher; also a Knights of Columbus member.

Survived by his wife Joan, children Marcus and Margie, grandson Drew, and niece Bonnie Habis.

Illinois Senate extends condolences to his family and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Speckman family.
