Senate Resolution mourning the death of Michael J. Dolan of Oak Park, who passed away on March 4, 2022 at age 84.

Dolan had a 30+ year career as a psychology administrator at Illinois correctional facilities, beginning in 1971 at DCFS juvenile facilities and later at the Illinois Department of Corrections, where he designed group counseling programs and established a hospice program for elderly offenders.

After retiring to Oak Park in 2004, Dolan was actively involved with the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association and served on various in-house committees.

Dolan was known for his passion for acting and theater, love of reading in multiple literary genres, and work as the family photographer and home chef.

Dolan is survived by his wife Barbara (married 57 years), three children, and five grandchildren.
