Mourns the death of Dorothy Violet Sherman of Park Ridge, who passed away on June 10, 2022.

Dorothy Sherman was born July 10, 1928, to Austrian immigrant parents, graduated from Waller High School in 1945, married Herbert Leo Sherman in 1955, and moved to Park Ridge in 1966.

She was known for preparing holiday meals, caring for her grandchildren, and demonstrating positivity, generosity, and a willingness to help others.

Survived by four children (Michael, Mark, Linda, and Matthew), seven grandchildren (Jake, Frank, Olivia, Daniel, Hannah, Alexandria, and Julia), and one great-grandchild (Skyler).

Illinois Senate extends sincere condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones, and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Sherman family.
