Frank Kozak of Schaumburg passed away on December 3, 2022, after serving the Village of Schaumburg for almost 40 years in various capacities.

Served 26 years on the Plan Commission (1983-2009) and 13 years as a village trustee (2009-2022), participating in multiple committees including Public Safety, Finance, and Planning and Development.

Participated in all 50 years of the village's Septemberfest and Labor Day Parade, serving as the 1st chairman and later as marshal of the 50th parade.

Volunteered extensively with the Schaumburg Jaycees (serving as local president and state director), Schaumburg Athletic Association (soccer commissioner), Schaumburg High School VIP program, Misericordia (20+ years), and Church of the Holy Spirit.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family: wife Char, children Shiela and Steven, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
