Daniel H. "Dan" Krotz of Coal Valley passed away on December 3, 2022, at age 87.

Krotz was born January 5, 1935, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, and worked at Case IH in East Moline until retiring in 1989.

He was a member of Green Rock-Colona American Legion Post 1233, Patriot Guard Riders, QC Skyraiders, and R.C. Flying Club, and volunteered with Coal Valley Ambulance Service.

Krotz is survived by two sons (Rick Edwards and Tiffin Krotz), five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

The Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and friends and directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Krotz family.
