Honors the memory of Ameline M. "Emily" Rashid LaHood of Peoria, who passed away on December 15, 2022.

Emily LaHood was born February 1, 1936 in Keokuk, Iowa, attended Bradley University, and worked as a legal secretary for 10 years.

Served as past president of the Catholic Women's League, St. Vincent DePaul Ladies Sodality, and the Rashid Club of America, and was an active member of St. Vincent DePaul Church and St. Sharbel Maronite Church.

Recognized for her devotion to family, generosity, hospitality, and renowned cooking in the Lebanese community.

Illinois Senate extends condolences to her surviving husband Edward, children Edward R. LaHood and Maria LaHood, granddaughters, and extended family members.
