Illinois Senate mourns the death of Judy L. Oakford of Peoria, who passed away on December 26, 2022.

Judy Oakford was born November 22, 1934, in Chicago to Frank A. and Ruth Little, and married Arthur Oakford in Peoria on May 27, 1954.

She was a community pillar known for philanthropic efforts and volunteer work, and a devoted wife, mother, and friend to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three daughters (Lynne Anderson, Susan Champion, and Kitty Miller), brother Dennis Little, and sister Jane Little Milliken.

Survivors include her husband Arthur, daughter Betsy Hamilton, two sons-in-law, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and brother Frank Little; a memorial resolution will be presented to her family.
