Illinois Senate mourns the death of Milburn David Cain Sr. of Lake Forest, who passed away on December 14, 2022.

Cain was born March 15, 1937, earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northwestern University in 1959, and practiced as a licensed CPA in Illinois and Wisconsin for 58 years.

Served in numerous leadership roles including president of McHenry School District 15 Board of Education, alderman for the City of Lake, president of The Grove School Board, president of McHenry Hospital Board, and treasurer of the Ralph Smith Foundation.

Active in religious and community organizations as a founding member of First National Bank of McHenry, lay leader of First United Methodist Church of McHenry, and elder of First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest.

Survived by his wife of 57 years Wyn, three adult children (David Jr., Ann, and Joseph), multiple grandchildren, and extended family.
