Amends Section 3-4 of the Metro-East Sanitary District Act of 1974 regarding commissioner compensation and benefits.

Commissioners shall be paid salaries equal to county board members from either St. Clair or Madison County, whichever is lower.

Board of commissioners may provide group life, health, accident, hospital, and medical insurance to employees and commissioners, including coverage for those who rely on prayer or spiritual means for healing according to recognized religious denominations.

Sanitary district may pay insurance premiums directly or allow employees and commissioners to have premiums withheld from their compensation.

Insurance must be obtained from companies or organizations authorized to do business in Illinois.
