State Board of Education shall prepare and distribute state, school district, and school report cards by October 31 annually, with extensions to December 31 during governor-declared public health emergencies.

School report cards must include data on school characteristics, student demographics, curriculum offerings, student outcomes, student progress, and school environment metrics, with comparisons to state averages and similar schools.

Report cards must include information on students with disabilities who fulfill minimum graduation requirements and receive a regular diploma, with a specific reporting code established for the 2023-2024 school year.

Starting after July 1, 2025, high school graduation completion rates must be reported alongside the percentage of students who did not meet graduation requirements and the percentage of those who fulfill Section 14-16 requirements, with an explanation of the difference from regular diplomas.

School districts must present report cards at a school board meeting within 30 days of receipt, post them on their website if available, provide copies to newspapers, and send written notice to parents with information on how to request printed copies.
