IL HB1208

Establishes a continuing annual appropriation from the General Revenue Fund to the Court of Claims to cover any shortfall when Line of Duty Compensation Act claim payments exceed the amount appropriated for that fiscal year

Requires that any continuing appropriation funds used to cover deficiencies be charged against unexpended line of duty award appropriations that subsequently become available in the same fiscal year

Mandates the Court of Claims report any use of continuing appropriations to Senate and House leadership (President, Speaker, and Minority Leaders) and the Governor's Office of Management and Budget at the conclusion of each fiscal year

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
