IL HB1211

Amends the Evidence-Based Funding provisions of the Illinois School Code (Section 18-8.15) specifically affecting Chicago Public Schools (districts organized under Article 34)

Requires Chicago Public Schools to distribute funds received for low-income students, English learner students, and special education resources directly to every school in the district

Mandates that the distributed amounts must match the specific funding calculations outlined in the Essential Elements component of the state's Evidence-Based Funding formula (subparagraphs V, W, and X of paragraph 2 of subsection b)

Effective date of July 1, 2023
