Increases the penalty for a first offense of aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer from a Class 4 felony to a Class 2 felony

Increases the penalty for a second or subsequent offense of aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer from a Class 3 felony to a Class 1 felony

Aggravated fleeing applies when a driver flees police at 21+ mph over the speed limit, causes bodily injury, causes property damage exceeding $300, disobeys 2 or more traffic control devices, or conceals/alters the vehicle's registration plate

Convictions result in mandatory driver's license revocation by the Secretary of State

Vehicles used in violations remain subject to seizure and forfeiture under existing law
