IL HB1351

Amends the Home Inspector License Act (225 ILCS 441/5-5) to add a new exemption from licensing requirements for persons holding a professional degree from a program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board or the Canadian Architectural Certification Board.

Changes the exemption provision from ending with a period to including "or" to connect it with the new architectural degree exemption as subsection (4).

Maintains existing exemptions for code enforcement officials, other licensed professionals, and persons preparing bids or estimates for construction work without advertising as home inspectors.

Preserves existing penalties: Class A misdemeanor for first offense of unlicensed home inspection practice and Class 4 felony for subsequent offenses.
