IL HB1467

Amends the Criminal Code of 2012 to add two new forms of mob action: (1) knowingly or recklessly steering a motor vehicle to make a controlled skid sideways through a turn with front wheels pointed opposite to the turn direction if it results in force or violence disturbing the public peace, and (2) knowingly or recklessly engaging in street racing if it results in force or violence disturbing the public peace.

Defines "street racing" by reference to Section 11-506 of the Illinois Vehicle Code.

Classifies mob action violations involving these new offenses (paragraphs 1, 4, and 5) as Class 4 felonies.

Requires courts to order any person convicted of mob action to perform 30 to 120 hours of community service if available and funded by the county board, unless the court imposes an incarceration sentence.

Conditions supervision for alleged mob action offenses on performance of community service.
