IL HB1613

Amends the Counties Code by adding Section 5-1064.5 to authorize county boards in counties with populations under 1,000,000 to establish minimum requirements for new building design and construction.

Permits counties to create standards aimed at reducing risks to wildlife and sensitive habitats caused by new building design and construction activities.

Applies only to counties with populations less than 1,000,000, excluding larger counties from these provisions.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
