IL HB1745

Amends Section 1-2 of the School Code (105 ILCS 5/1-2) concerning construction of the statute.

Makes a technical change by correcting the capitalization of "The" at the beginning of the construction provision.

Clarifies that provisions in the School Code that are the same as prior statutes shall be construed as a continuation of those prior provisions, not as new enactments.

Establishes that references in other statutes to prior Acts or sections that are continued in the School Code shall be held to refer to the continued provisions in the Code.
