IL HB2047

Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act to prohibit motor vehicle dealers and manufacturers from offering subscription services for vehicle features already physically installed in the vehicle at time of purchase or lease.

Applies the ban to subscription-based services (weekly, monthly, or annual recurring payments) for motor vehicle features such as heated seats or driver assistance systems.

Targets subscriptions for features that would function after activation without ongoing costs to the dealer, manufacturer, or third-party service provider.

Defines "motor vehicle" to include all vehicles powered by non-muscular means, excluding rail vehicles, low-speed electric bicycles, scooters, and motorized bicycles.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
