Secretary of State must conduct a study by October 1, 2023 on age-related changes affecting driving abilities, including vision, physical functioning, reasoning, memory, and relevant diseases and medications.

Study may utilize data from other states, CDC, American Geriatrics Society, and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

If study shows no immediate public safety risk, Secretary of State may adopt rules to raise the age requirement for actual driving demonstrations, with minimum age no lower than 75 years old.

Drivers aged 75 or older (or the increased age if rules are adopted) must complete an actual driving demonstration as part of license examination and renewal.
