Hotel proprietors or managers may refuse admission to persons who destroy or threaten to destroy property, cause public disturbances, or seek accommodations for unlawful drug possession or alcohol consumption by minors.

Hotel proprietors or managers may remove guests or other persons who refuse to pay, destroy property, threaten employees or guests, engage in unlawful drug use or underage alcohol consumption, violate laws or hotel rules, or use verbally abusive language.

Hotels must refund any unused portion of advance payments when removing a guest and cannot eject guests during severe weather warnings without first providing verbal or written warning.

Ejection authority cannot be used as a pretext to discriminate based on protected characteristics and does not override antidiscrimination or civil rights laws.

Hotel proprietors cannot use this section to terminate leases of permanent residents without following appropriate legal eviction procedures required under landlord-tenant laws.
