Creates the State-funded Facilities Temperature Control Act requiring all State-funded facilities to install permanent cooling and dehumidification equipment by May 1, 2025

Equipment must maintain 75 degrees Fahrenheit (24 degrees Celsius) and 50% relative humidity in habitable spaces, toilet rooms, and public corridors when outdoor temperature reaches 84 degrees Fahrenheit (28.9 degrees Celsius) or when heat index reaches 80 degrees Fahrenheit (26.7 degrees Celsius)

Applies to day care centers, assisted living establishments, shared housing establishments, supportive living facilities, community living facilities, and long-term care facilities that serve seniors

Facility owners or operators must provide and maintain all fixed cooling systems; fans that do not produce refrigerated air do not qualify as cooling systems

Act takes effect January 1, 2024, with compliance deadline of May 1, 2025
