Creates the Eating Disorder Treatment Parity Task Force within the Department of Insurance to review reimbursement rates for eating disorder treatment providers in Illinois and out-of-state providers.

Task Force comprises 12 members: 2 eating disorder treatment experts, 2 consumers with eating disorder experience, and 8 members of the General Assembly appointed by legislative leadership.

Task Force shall review health insurance plans covering eating disorders, compare in-network Illinois provider rates to out-of-network out-of-state rates, and provide recommendations for rules to increase access to treatment.

Task Force must submit findings and recommendations to the Director of Insurance, Governor, and General Assembly by December 31, 2023, with results posted on the Department website.

Section automatically repeals on January 1, 2025; effective immediately upon enactment.
