Eliminates the January 1, 2024 repeal date for the First Time Weapon Offender Program under the Unified Code of Corrections, making the program permanent.

Allows courts to divert first-time, non-violent offenders charged with unlawful use of weapons (Class 4 felony or lower) into an 18-24 month rehabilitation program with consent of the defendant and State's Attorney.

Requires program participants to complete conditions including employment/education, community service (minimum 50 hours), drug testing, counseling, and refrain from possessing firearms or violating criminal law.

Restricts eligibility for offenders age 21 or older, those with prior violent offense convictions, prior program completions, delinquency adjudications for violent offenses, or existing orders of protection.

Upon successful program completion, the court dismisses charges and discharges the defendant; violation allows court to enter judgment and proceed with sentencing.
