IL HB2549

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code Section 5F-35 to change nursing home reimbursement methodology for managed care organizations from RUG-IV nursing component to fee-for-service facility-specific nursing component.

Requires the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to provide managed care organizations with quarterly fee-for-service rates including nursing component per diem, add-ons for enhanced care services, support component per diem, and capital component per diem for each contracted nursing home.

Prohibits managed care contracts from providing reimbursement rates lower than the fee-for-service rate in effect for the facility at the time services are rendered.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
