IL HB2775

Establishes the Inform House Grant Program administered by the Department of Human Services to provide grants to community-based organizations serving youth involved in the criminal justice system.

Requires participating organizations to provide single occupancy rooms with private bathrooms, bed, dresser, closet, window, and unlocked doors.

Mandates three nutritionally balanced meals daily with plant-based options and on-site educational programs including aptitude assessments, tailored coursework, and instruction in reading comprehension, writing and composition, mathematics, and other subject areas.

Educational programs must prepare youth for high school graduation, high school equivalency certification, and postsecondary education.

Authorizes the Department to award up to $5,000,000 in grant funding and adopt rules necessary to implement the program.
