IL HB2798

Repeals Sections 4-4, 4-5, and 4-6 of the Legislative Commission Reorganization Act of 1984, eliminating provisions for the now-obsolete Advisory Committee on Block Grants.

Modifies the deadline for the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability to complete its annual summary report on State appropriations, allowing extension to 60 days after appropriations enactment if no appropriations have been enacted by July 1.

Changes the Commission's report on estimated State income deadline from "the third Wednesday in March" to "the third Wednesday in March or within 14 days after the Governor's budget address, whichever is later."

Updates publication requirements for the appropriations summary report, removing the requirement to publish in newspapers of general circulation and maintaining publication on the General Assembly's website.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
