IL HB2895

Requires certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) providing anesthesia services outside hospitals, ambulatory surgical treatment centers, or hospital affiliates to enter into written collaborative agreements with physicians, podiatric physicians, or dentists.

Removes requirements that anesthesiologists, physicians, dentists, or podiatric physicians must physically remain present and available on premises during anesthesia service delivery in ambulatory surgical treatment centers and hospitals.

Eliminates requirements for joint discussion and agreement with anesthesia plans between supervising physicians and CRNAs in hospital and ambulatory surgical treatment center settings.

Allows CRNAs to select, order, and administer anesthesia drugs and medical devices in accordance with collaborative agreements and medical staff policies.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
