IL HB2972

Amends the Rescue Squad Districts Act to authorize rescue squad districts to charge and collect fees for rescue squad services and ambulance services.

Fees may be charged for services provided within or outside the rescue squad district, not to exceed the reasonable cost of providing the service.

Maintains existing property tax authority for rescue squad districts at a maximum rate of 0.20% of equalized or assessed property value.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
