Registration plates for all-terrain vehicles and recreational off-highway vehicles must be displayed on the rear of the vehicle.

Annual registration fee of $26 for all-terrain vehicles and recreational off-highway vehicles; $10 goes to county, $10 to municipality, $5 to General Revenue Fund, and $1 to State Police Operations Assistance Fund (or $20 to county if in unincorporated area).

All-terrain vehicles and recreational off-highway vehicles may be operated on rural roads, not limited to speed zones under 35 miles per hour like other non-highway vehicles.

Home rule municipalities and local governments prohibited from regulating all-terrain and recreational off-highway vehicle operation in a manner inconsistent with state regulation.
