IL HB3063

Requires vote center locations established by election authorities to comply with the federal Voting Accessibility for the Elderly and Handicapped Act of 1984.

Removes exceptions that previously allowed inaccessible polling places when no accessible locations were available and the election authority provided alternative voting methods.

Requires voters with temporary or permanent disabilities unable to access a polling place due to building structural features to be informed of the nearest accessible vote center.

Extends the repeal date for vote center provisions from July 1, 2023 to July 1, 2024.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
