Expands mandatory crash reporting requirements to include crashes resulting in injury or death, property damage exceeding $10,000 ($5,000 if vehicle lacks required liability insurance), crashes involving school buses, or crashes within 50 feet of a school bus.

Secretary of State shall suspend driver's license or nonresident driving privileges of any person who fails to report a crash as required by Illinois law.

Exempts single-vehicle crashes where the vehicle struck a deer or other animal and crashes caused solely by highway defects from mandatory reporting requirements.

Allows drivers to fulfill crash reporting requirements through electronic means if the law enforcement agency has implemented an electronic reporting mechanism.

Includes law enforcement agency employees appointed to complete Illinois State Police crash reporting forms as individuals who must forward written crash reports to the Administrator.

Effective July 1, 2023.
