IL HB3121

Amends the Children and Family Services Act to require the Department of Children and Family Services to provide diabetes care training to eligible foster parents who care for children with diabetes.

Training must cover insulin pump therapy, general diabetes management, carbohydrate counting, insulin administration using pens or syringes, and identification of low blood sugar and diabetic ketoacidosis warning signs.

Grants the Department rulemaking authority to implement the diabetes care training requirements.
