Affirms sheriff's responsibility to maintain courthouse security while allowing judges and associate judges with valid concealed carry licenses to carry firearms within or on courthouse grounds.

Permits judges and associate judges to secure firearms in a secure area in chambers or adjacent to courtrooms (not within courtrooms) in the same manner as peace officers.

Allows firearms to be carried to and from the courthouse and must be secured when the judge reports to chambers.

Amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act to except judges and associate judges from the prohibition on carrying concealed firearms in buildings designated for circuit, appellate, or Supreme Court matters.

Adds new Section 28.1 to the Circuit Courts Act establishing that circuit court judges with valid concealed carry licenses may exercise those rights within courthouse premises to which they are assigned.
