IL HB3180

Amends the Illinois Controlled Substances Act by adding Clonazolam to Schedule IV as a controlled substance with depressant effects on the central nervous system.

Clonazolam is inserted into the existing list of Schedule IV depressant substances between Clonazepam and Clorazepate.

The addition subjects Clonazolam to the same regulatory controls and penalties as other Schedule IV depressants currently listed in Illinois law.
